Jennifer Marrero

I’m a coffee loving, nap-appreciating, project starting (but rarely finishing) mom of 4, living on the beautiful coast of Georgia. Originally from Rhode Island, I’ve traded snow for sunshine and am learning daily what it means to walk with Jesus through all the seasons of motherhood- whether that is helping to guide adult children into independence or teaching a school aged child to tie their shoes.

I am a stay-at-home mom in a beautiful blended family. Two of my kids came to me through marriage, and they have helped shape who I am just as much as the two I have raised from the start. Blending a family has its complexities. It requires building trust and honoring all the hearts in the room. Some of my kids are wonderfully wired (ADHD), and if I’m being honest, I’m pretty sure I am too. This often adds a little spice to the day, but it also brings laughter, energy and joy. Motherhood has taught me so much about God’s grace, patience, and creativity (and at times it was a painful lesson). I’m not the best student and I made plenty of mistakes along the way.

I became a believer in my late 20’s, and my walk with Jesus hasn’t always been fast and flawless- it’s been more like two steps forward and one step back. But He has met me with grace every step of the way. I am not a writer by trade, but I felt God tugging at my heart to share the messy, honest and wonderful journey of motherhood through faith. This is a space where I show up as I am, in hopes that other moms will feel the freedom to do the same, bringing everything to God and trusting that He can do beautiful things with our surrender.

I’m passionate about parenting with purpose, embracing our God-given uniqueness, building a life that supports your sanity, and encouraging women to be real-not perfect- at the altar. I truly believe we are all a little bit weird (in the best way), and fullness of joy comes when you learn to love your kind of weird and find others that do too.

Welcome to a place of grace, grit, and a whole lot of Jesus. I’m so glad you are here!
